Established in 1915
Ocala is the seat of the Church's infancy in the State of Florida. Bishop Mary L. Tate arrived here in 1915. The first temple was built in 1918, Elder B.L. McLeod was the pastor. That temple burned down around 1928 and the Church was housed in the home of Sister Angeline Davis (later to become Bishop) who also became pastor of the Church.
The second temple was constructed in 1936. The church pictured above was dedicated on October 26, 1969 under the pastorship of Elder Johnny Jackson.
