The Present Truth Gospel Preacher: Five Issues (Numbers) Per Year
The PTGP is the Official Organ of the Church of the Living God, the Pillar and Ground of the Truth, Inc. With the opening of the church publishing house (The New and Living Way Publishing Company, Nashville, TN) in 1923, the church founders settled on the title, the Present Truth Gospel Preacher. The original format was both a "newsletter" and an instrument to convey official pronouncements of the church and Chief Overseer to the general membership and public. The ruling of the 94th General Assembly (July 29-August 7, 2001) encouraged the General Secretary and Assistant Chief Overseer to oversee the publishing of the church official organ with its original intent in mind.
